Mr. William Lawrence Nichols, 82, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2014 in a Wichita Falls care center.

Graveside Service: 3 p.m. Friday in Dido Cemetery.

Mr. Nichols was born September 9, 1931 in Fort Worth to Gerald Dee and Mary Dovie (Steele) Nichols, and had worked as an engineer in the railroad industry.

He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Douglas Lawrence Nichols in 2005, and Darcy Lael Nichols in 2013.

Survivors: He is survived by his wife, Geneva Markum Nichols of Henrietta; by sons, Danny L. Nichols of Fort Worth, Dale Lance Nichols of Wichita Falls; daughter, Dana LeDon Brooks of Henrietta; half-sister, Sue Oest; half-brother, Victor Huckaby; grandchildren, Deanna Brooks, Dustin Brooks, Darren Nichols, David Nichols, and Dayton Brooks; great-grandchildren, Dax Nichols and Daven Nichols.
