GRANBURY — William Oliver “Buddy” Del Brail, 69, died May 10, 2014 at his residence after a valiant fight with cancer.
Memorial service: Buddy’s Roping Arena in Granbury, Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 10:00 A.M.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
Buddy was a district manager for Footstar for 41 years. He moved to Granbury in 1990 and enjoyed Rodeo and was a member of the Texas Senior ProRodeo Association. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Millsap.
In retirement Buddy fulfilled a life long dream to become an accomplished calf roper, winning buckles and accolades. He crafted beautiful leather work, everything from Bible Covers to saddles. Many of his friends proudly wear belts and other western assessories made by Buddy.
Survivors: wife, Barbara Del Brail of Granbury, son and wife, Darrin and Michelle of Arlington, TX; daughters, Abbie and Jolee Carswell of Millsap, TX; sisters, Poppy Stewart of Devine,TX, Laurel and husband Al D’Orsogna of La Costa, TX, Billie and husband Charles Toalson of Moore, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.
