William Benton, 80 of Granbury, TX, died on Monday, April 20, 2015 in Harris Southwest Hospital in Fort Worth.
the family will receive friends and relatives at Martin’s Funeral Home in Granbury on Wednesday April 22, 2015 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. On Thursday, April 23, 2015 there will be a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Granbury.

William was born to Joe and Edith Benson on September 7, 10. He married Rita Riddle, September 29, 1981 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, William Wayne “Will Henry” Benson.

William was an avid golfer and was loved by family and friends. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and lived his faith, yet he was a simple man. He was a wonderful father and husband. He loved his family very much.

He is survived by his wife, Rita Riddle Benson; daughters Deanna Lee Janks and husband Joe and Sarah Ayala and husband Nick; son, Travis Wayne Benson and; grandsons, Weston and Caleb.
