Wilson Timothy Hunt was born December 17, 1943 at Henderson, Texas to Wilson and Agnes Hunt. He went home to be with the Lord on July 30, 2020 in Granbury, Texas where he had lived for many years.
Tim graduated from Richland High School in Fort Worth, Texas. His college years took him to Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas where he earned both a B.S. and M.S. in Biology.
Following graduation from Abilene Christian, Tim was a science professor at Southwestern Christian College in Terrell, Texas for 23 years. After his teaching career at Southwestern, Tim taught middle school in Granbury Independent School District for 12 years. While at Oakwoods Middle School he suffered a stroke that he survived but prevented him from continuing his teaching career. Tim also taught for many years in the children’s Bible class program of the Granbury Church of Christ.
Tim’s career in education gave him summers to pursue his interests. He spent many summers traveling the world, visiting missionaries and sharing the Gospel in places like the Cook Islands in the South Pacific, Tahiti, France, Switzerland, and Russia. Tim would almost always make contact with the Church of Christ missionaries in all his travels. He also worked in Christian camps in Texas and Colorado. Tim had a great interest in people, other cultures, other languages, and world evangelism.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow Wilson Hunt and Agnes Erna Blanton Hunt and his brother Phillip Hunt.
Tim is survived by his sister-in-law Annette Hunt and her daughters; Rachel Ann Hill, Jessica Lynn Franco and Stephanie Rampone.
Tim is also survived by his very good friend Janie Pieratt.

Funeral Service will be held 2 PM. Tuesday; August 4, 2020 at Granbury Church of Christ, 1905 W. Pearl Street in Granbury with graveside service and burial following at Holly Hills Memorial Park in Granbury under the direction of Wiley Funeral Home.
