Woodrow Head, 98, of Granbury, Texas passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2017, in Granbury.

Graveside service: 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 4, 2017, at Granbury Cemetery.
Visitation: 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Wiley Funeral Home Chapel.

Woodrow was welcomed into the home of his parents, Calvin and Alice Miles Head, on November 15, 1918 in Center City, Texas. Woodrow proudly served his country as a Staff Sargent in the U.S. Army during World War II. He married Margaret Snodgrass in 1941 in Brownwood, Texas. In 1950 they moved to Granbury from Center City. They had five children. Woodrow worked in the engineering division for the City of Fort Worth. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Woodrow is predeceased by his parents, two of his sons, Woodrow, Jr., and Allen Head, seven brothers and seven sisters, granddaughter Cynthia Head and two son in laws Don Hickey and Dale Durant.

Survivors: son, Kenneth Ewald (Beverly); daughters, Mildred Hickey and Brenda Durant; 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 7 great great-grandchildren.
