GRANBURY — Wyvone Spradlin, 77, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2012, in Fort Worth.
Service: 2 p.m. Saturday at Acton United Methodist Church. Burial: Acton Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Wiley Funeral Home.
Memorials: Acton United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.
Wyvone was born Feb. 1, 1935, in Crews, to Cone J. and Hallie Robinson. She graduated as valedictorian of Norton High School and received her B.A. in education from McMurray College in Abilene. Bilingual graduate studies led her to the University of Mexico. She loved teaching English and ESL and enjoyed 20 years as a public school educator. A lifelong Methodist, Wyvone was a member of Acton UMC.
Known as Cita to her grandchildren, Wyvone was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was truly one of a kind, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Survivors: Husband, Keith Spradlin; sons and wives, Jeff and Kathy Spradlin of Granbury, David and Mary Spradlin of Arlington and Benton and Sara Spradlin of Albuquerque, N.M.; grandchildren, Sam, Sarah, Hallie Grace, Thomas, Ben and Ella; and brother and wife, C.J. and Patti Robinson of Norton.
