Zachary Harrison White, 97, passed away Friday, October 7, 2016 in Fort Worth.
There will be a celebration of Zack’s life at 4 p.m. Saturday, October 22, 2016 at First United Methodist Church of Azle.
Zack was born December 29, 1918 in New York to Martha Bookout White and James Vernon White. His hobbies included reading, music, pottery, and painting. Zack attended NYU (Bachelor of Divinity), and Salem College (Bachelor of Arts). Zack retired from a career in social work and continued to serve God and humanity in the church. Most recently, he blessed the Azle community by playing the mandolin in the worship band at First United Methodist Church of Azle. He met the love of his life in New York, Jean Edith Parks White. They were married on January 2, 1944. She preceded him in death on January, 26, 2006.
Zack is survived by his sons, Theron White and Chris White; daughter, Martha White; sister, Doris Joanne Agee; grandchildren, Naomi Furnas, Rachel White, Shannon Bernsen, Shane White, and Mani White; great-grandchildren, Todd Mazza, Aly Furnas, Bret Chandler, Kelsi Bernsen, Derek Bernsen, Madison Robinson, Samantha White, Zane White, and Alyssa White; great-great grandchildren, Rylan Robinson and Connor White.
